Background
After a severe winter storm, a family in Oak Bay community of Victoria contacted Advantage Tree Care for an emergency tree removal. A large Douglas fir had been partially uprooted by the wind, leaning dangerously toward their home and neighbouring property.
Challenges
The tree’s unstable position made this a high-risk removal. Additionally, the surrounding properties and power lines added complexity to the job, requiring precise execution and coordination with local utilities.
Solution
Our team responded promptly, arriving on-site within a few hours of the call. Using specialized rigging techniques and a crane, we safely dismantled the tree in sections, ensuring no damage to the client’s home or surrounding properties. Coordination with BC Hydro allowed us to work safely around the power lines.
Outcome
The job was completed swiftly and safely, bringing peace of mind to the client. The family expressed their gratitude for our rapid response and professionalism during a stressful time. We also provided stump grinding and landscaping recommendations to restore their yard.
